140 g. Self Raising Flour
225 g. Syrup (Golden or black treacle)
115 g. Sugar (Castor)
57 g. Butter or Margarine
3 tbsp. Milk (Full Fat)
2 tsp. Ginger (Ground)
¼ tsp. Salt
235 g. Oatmeal
1 Egg
Preheat the oven to 325ºF / 170ºC
In a mixing bowl place the golden syrup, sugar, butter, milk, ginger and salt and mix together.
Add the flour and oats to the wet mixture and add an egg. Mix thoroughly and pour into a greased baking tin. Level the top and bake for 1 hour.
