Fettuccine Alfredo

1 lb. Fettuccini
1 cup Heavy Cream
4 oz. Unsalted Butter
1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
¼ tsp. Salt
¼ tsp. Black Pepper

Cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.

Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook the sauce for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.

Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water, a few tablespoons at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

Serve the Fettuccine Alfredo immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and black pepper if desired.
