Chinese, Side Dish Vegetarian Lactose Free Nut Free, Beans (Green Beans)

Stir-Fried Green Beans (Gan Bian Si Ji Dou)

1 lb. Green Beans, Trimmed
2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
1 tbsp. Minced Garlic
1 tbsp. Minced Ginger
1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
½ tbsp. Oyster Sauce
¼ tsp. Sugar
¼ tsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the green beans and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly blistered.

Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.

Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the green beans are evenly coated with the sauce.

Serve the Stir-Fried Green Beans hot as a side dish or with steamed white rice for a light main course.
