Chinese, Main Course Lactose Free, Pepper (Red Bell) Ground Pork Prawns (Peeled and Deveined)

Chinese Stuffed Peppers

4 Medium Bell Peppers (red, Yellow, Or Green)
½ lb. Ground Pork
½ lb. Peeled And Deveined Shrimp, Finely Chopped
1 tbsp. Finely Chopped Green Onions
1 tbsp. Finely Chopped Fresh Cilantro
1 tbsp. Oyster Sauce
1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
½ tsp. Ground Black Pepper
1 tsp. Sesame Oil
1 tsp. Cornstarch

Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Set the peppers aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, shrimp, green onions, cilantro, oyster sauce, soy sauce, ground black pepper, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Mix well.

Stuff each bell pepper with the pork and shrimp mixture, pressing the filling firmly into the peppers.

Place the stuffed peppers in a steamer basket or on a heatproof plate. Steam the peppers over boiling water for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through and the peppers are tender.

Serve the Chinese Stuffed Peppers hot with steamed rice and additional soy sauce, if desired.
