Satay (Grilled Meat Skewers)

1 lb. Chicken, Beef, Or Pork, Cut Into Thin Strips
2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
1 tbsp. Curry Powder
1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
2 Garlic, Minced
1 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
8 fl.oz. Bamboo Skewers, Soaked In Water For 30 Minutes
In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, curry powder, brown sugar, garlic, and vegetable oil. Add the meat strips and mix well to coat. Marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
Thread the marinated meat strips onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Grill the skewers for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked through and charred.
Serve the meat skewers hot with a side of peanut sauce for dipping and cucumber salad for a refreshing contrast.
