Corn Dogs

1 cu Yellow Cornmeal
1 cu All-Purpose Flour
¼ cu Sugar
1 tbsp Baking Powder
½ tsp Salt
1 Egg
1 cu Milk
8 Hot Dog Sausages
Vegetable Oil (for Frying)

Preheat your deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the egg and milk until the batter is smooth.

Insert a wooden skewer into each hot dog sausage.

Dip each hot dog into the batter, turning to coat it evenly.

Fry the corn dogs in the hot oil until they are golden and crispy, about 3 minutes.

Drain the corn dogs on paper towels before serving.
