Central American, Dessert Vegetarian Nut Free

Churros

Method

250 ml. Water
2 tbsp. Sugar
½ tsp. Salt
2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
125 g. All-purpose Flour
Vegetable Oil For Frying
50 g. Sugar, For Dusting
1 tsp. Cinnamon, For Dusting

In a small saucepan, combine water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Remove from heat and stir in flour until a ball of dough forms.

Heat oil for frying to 190 degrees Celsius. Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil using a pastry bag fitted with a star-shaped nozzle.

Fry until golden, then drain on kitchen paper.

Combine 50g of sugar and cinnamon. Roll drained churros in the mixture.
