Method
2 Green Plantains, Peeled and Cut into 2 cm Slices
Vegetable Oil, for Frying
Salt to Taste
Heat the oil in a frying pan.
Fry the plantain slices until golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels.
Flatten each plantain slice with a tostonera or the bottom of a glass.
Return the flattened plantains to the hot oil and fry again until crispy.
Drain on paper towels and season with salt before serving.
