1 kg. Mussels
1 kg. Clams
500 g. Chicken Thighs
500 g. Pork Ribs
500 g. Sausages
1 kg. Potatoes
500 g. Sweet Potatoes
4 Onions, Chopped
1 tbsp. Salt to Taste and Pepper
Large Leaves (like Banana Leaves), for Wrapping
If possible, dig a pit and line it with heated stones. If not, you can use a large pot on the stove.
Wrap the meats, seafood, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and onions separately in the leaves, then layer them in the pit or pot, sprinkling each layer with salt and pepper.
Cover the pit or pot and cook for several hours, until all the ingredients are cooked through.
Carefully remove the packages from the pit or pot and unwrap them. Serve the curanto hot.
