Mote con Huesillo (Chile)

500 g. Dried Peaches
200 g. Wheat Berries
200 g. Sugar
1 Cinnamon Stick
Water, as Needed
Soak the peaches and wheat berries separately in water overnight.
In a large pot, combine the soaked peaches (with their soaking water), sugar, and cinnamon stick.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the peaches are soft and the syrup is thick.
In a separate pot, cook the soaked wheat berries until they are tender.
To serve, spoon some wheat berries into a glass, top with a peach and some syrup, and enjoy!
