Sopa Paraguaya (Paraguay)

2 cups Cornmeal
1 Onion, Chopped
2 Eggs
1 cup Milk
1 cup Cheese, Grated
100 g. Butter, Melted
Salt to Taste
Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a baking dish.
In a pan, sauté the onion until it is soft and translucent.
In a large bowl, mix together the cornmeal, sautéed onion, eggs, milk, cheese, melted butter, and salt until a dough forms.
Spread the dough in the prepared baking dish and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the inside is set.
Let the sopa paraguaya cool slightly before cutting it into slices and serving.
