Guiso de Lentejas (Argentina)

250 g. Lentils
1 Onion, Chopped
2 Carrots, Chopped
2 Potatoes, Chopped
2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
1 tsp. Paprika
1 tsp. Cumin
1 Bay Leaf
¼ tsp. Salt and Pepper, to Taste
2 l. Water

In a large pot, combine the lentils, onion, carrots, potatoes, garlic, paprika, cumin, bay leaf, salt, pepper, and water.

Bring the pot to a boil, then reduce the heat and let the guiso de lentejas simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the lentils are tender.

Serve the guiso de lentejas hot, with bread on the side if desired.
