Creole Shrimp (Haiti)

500 g. Shrimp, Peeled and Deveined
400 g. Can Of Chopped Tomatoes
1 Onion, Chopped
2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
1 Bell Pepper, Chopped
60 ml. Vegetable Oil
1 tsp. Paprika
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until the onion is softened.
Add the tomatoes and paprika to the pan. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Add the shrimp to the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the creole shrimp hot, with a side of rice if desired.
