4 Bratwurst Sausages
1 l. German Lager Or Beer Of Choice
2 Medium Onions, Sliced
2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
4 Crusty Bread Rolls
German Mustard for Serving
Place the bratwurst, beer, and onions in a large pot and bring to a simmer. Cook for 15-20 minutes.
Remove the bratwurst and pat dry. Reserve the cooking liquid and onions.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bratwurst and cook until browned on all sides.
Return the onions and cooking liquid to the pan and continue to cook for another 10 minutes.
Serve the bratwurst in crusty bread rolls with mustard and cooked onions.
