Zwiebelkuchen (Onion Tart)

200 g. Flour
100 g. Butter, Cold and Cut into Pieces
½ tsp. Salt
3 Large Onions, Thinly Sliced
2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
200 ml. Sour Cream
4 Eggs
½ tsp. Ground Nutmeg
Salt and Pepper to Taste
To make the crust, combine the flour, butter, and salt in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Press the mixture into a tart pan and chill for 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until softened and lightly caramelized.
In a bowl, whisk together the sour cream, eggs, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Stir in the caramelized onions.
Pour the onion mixture into the chilled tart crust. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and lightly browned.
Allow the tart to cool slightly before serving.
