German, Main Course Nut Free, Ground Beef Ground Pork

Maultaschen

300 g. Flour
3 Eggs
1 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
Pinch of Salt
200 g. Spinach
100 g. Ground Beef
100 g. Ground Pork
1 Onion, Finely Chopped
1 Garlic, Minced
1 tbsp. Parsley, Chopped
Salt and Pepper to Taste

To make the dough, mix together the flour, 2 eggs, oil, and salt. Knead until smooth, then let it rest for 30 minutes.

For the filling, cook the spinach in a pan until wilted. Let it cool, then squeeze out the excess water and chop it finely.

In a bowl, mix together the spinach, ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, parsley, and the remaining egg. Season with salt and pepper.

Roll out the dough thinly and cut into squares. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each square. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal.

Boil the Maultaschen in salted water for 20 minutes. They can be served in broth or fried with onions.
