Stollen

500 g. Flour
1 Active Dry Yeast
250 ml. Milk, Warmed
100 g. Sugar
1 in. Salt
2 Eggs
150 g. Butter, Softened
200 g. Raisins
100 g. Candied Citrus Peel
100 g. Almonds, Chopped
1 tbsp. Rum
200 g. Marzipan
Powdered Sugar for Dusting
In a large bowl, combine the flour and yeast. Add the warmed milk, sugar, salt, eggs, and butter. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Let it rise for 1 hour.
Knead the raisins, candied citrus peel, almonds, and rum into the dough.
Roll out the dough into an oval shape. Roll the marzipan into a log and place it in the center of the dough. Fold the dough over the marzipan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 1 hour, or until golden brown.
Let the Stollen cool, then dust it with powdered sugar before serving.
