Method
Dissolve the yeast and a teaspoon of sugar in warm milk. Leave it in a warm place until it starts to froth.
Mix the flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture, egg yolks, and melted butter. Knead to make a smooth dough.
Cover and leave the dough to rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.
When the dough is ready, divide it into small pieces and roll each piece into a long, thin rope.
Wrap each rope of dough around a wooden stick or metal tube, leaving small gaps between the coils.
Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon together.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
While still warm, roll the trdelnik in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
