12 Large Sour Cabbage Leaves
500 g. Minced Beef
500 g. Minced Pork
100 g. Rice
1 Onion, Chopped
2 Garlic, Minced
1 Egg
1 tsp. Paprika
Salt and Pepper to Taste
2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
1 Can Tomato Puree
500 ml. Beef Broth
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice in boiling water for 10 minutes, then drain.
In a large bowl, combine the minced beef, minced pork, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Lay a cabbage leaf flat and place a portion of the filling in the center. Fold in the sides and roll up the leaf to encase the meat.
Heat the oil in a large pot. Add the cabbage rolls, seam side down, and cook until browned on all sides.
Pour the tomato puree and beef broth over the cabbage rolls. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 2 hours.
