Eastern European, Main Course Nut Free, Ground Pork Ground Beef

Method

500 g. All-purpose Flour
200 Water
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Salt
½ kg. Ground Pork
½ kg. Ground Beef
1 Large Onion, Finely Chopped
1 tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Ground Black Pepper

Start with the dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, eggs, water, and salt. Knead until smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

For the filling: Mix together the ground pork, ground beef, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.

Roll out the dough thinly and cut out circles using a round cookie cutter or glass.

Place a small amount of the filling in the center of each dough circle.

Fold the dough over to form a half-circle, then pinch the edges to seal.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pelmeni until they float to the top, then simmer for 2-3 more minutes.

Drain and serve with sour cream or melted butter.
