Northern European, Main Course Nut Free, Ground Beef Ground Pork

Swedish Meatballs (Köttbullar)

Method

½ kg. Ground Beef
¼ kg. Ground Pork
1 Onion, Finely Chopped
125 ml. Breadcrumbs
1 Egg
125 ml. Milk
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Black Pepper
25 g. Butter (For Frying)

Mix breadcrumbs and milk in a bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Add the ground meats, finely chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper to the breadcrumb mixture and mix until well combined.

Form the mixture into small, round meatballs.

Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat.

Fry the meatballs in the pan until browned on all sides and cooked through.

Serve with lingonberry jam, brown gravy, and mashed potatoes.
