Swedish Glogg (Glögg)

Method
750 ml. Red Wine
250 ml. Vodka
200 g. Sugar
1 Orange, Peel Only
6 Cloves
2 Cinnamon Sticks
10 Cardamom Pods
50 g. Raisins
50 g. Blanched Almonds
In a saucepan, combine all ingredients except for the raisins and almonds.
Heat slowly, making sure the mixture does not boil. Simmer for about 1 hour.
Strain the mixture to remove the spices and orange peel.
Serve warm, garnished with raisins and almonds in each glass.
