Samsa (Uzbekistan)

500 g. Flour
1 tsp. Salt
200 ml. Water
1 Egg
500 g. Lamb Or Beef Shoulder, Finely Chopped
1 Onion, Finely Chopped
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl. Beat the egg into the water and add this mixture to the flour. Knead until a firm dough forms.
Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
While the dough is resting, mix the meat, onion, salt, and pepper together to form the filling.
Roll out the dough and cut it into circles. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
Fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle, pinching the edges to seal.
Preheat your oven to 200°C and bake the samsas until they're golden brown.
