Meat Pie (Australia)

400 g. Minced Beef
1 Large Onion, Diced
2 tbsp. Plain Flour
500 ml. Beef Stock
2 Sheets Puff Pastry
1 Egg, Beaten

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Cook the minced beef and onion in a frying pan until browned.

Add the flour to the pan and stir until combined.

Add the beef stock and simmer until the mixture thickens.

Cut the puff pastry into circles and line individual pie tins with it.

Fill the pastry with the meat mixture and then cover with another circle of pastry.

Seal the edges of the pastry with a fork and then brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden.
