450 g. Plain Flour
1 tsp. Salt
3 tsp. Baking Powder
80 g. Unsalted Butter, Chilled and Cubed
185 ml. Water

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.

Add the cubed butter and rub it into the flour with your fingers until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

Gradually add the water and mix until a dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for a minute or two until smooth.

Shape the dough into a round loaf, place on a baking tray, and mark it with a cross on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
