Kiwi Burger (New Zealand)

500 g. Ground Beef
1 Onion, Finely Chopped
1 Egg
100 g. Bread Crumbs
Salt and Pepper to Taste
4 Hamburger Buns
4 Slices Cheddar Cheese
4 Slices Beetroot
4 Lettuce Leaves
1 Tomato, Sliced
4 Eggs, Fried

In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped onion, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Shape into 4 patties.

Grill the patties on a barbecue or in a frying pan until cooked to your liking.

Toast the hamburger buns.

To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, a beetroot slice, a cheese slice, and a cooked patty on each bun. Top with a fried egg and the other half of the bun.
