Italian, Main Course Vegetarian Nut Free

Pizza

Ingredients

Method

500 g. Plain Flour
2 tsp. Kosher Salt
7 g. Yeast
350 ml. Water
425 ml. Tinned Tomatoes
3 tbsp. Red Wine
1 tbsp. Olive Oil
2 tsp. Oregano
1 Cloves of Garlic
½ tsp. Salt & Pepper
100 g. Mozzarella Cheese

Place all the dough ingredients into a stand mixer and knead for about 10 minutes.

Leave to prove covered in a warm place for an hour.

Meanwhile make the sauce by placing the tomatoes, wine, olive oil and minced garlic in a pan and bring to a simmer. Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes or until it has reduced by half.

Once the sauce has reduced remove it from the heat and place it on the side. Preheat your oven to 220ºC / 425ºF.

Once the dough has proved, roll out the dough and place it on a baking tray.

Spread the sauce on top of the pizza and add the herbs and any other ingredients you like (pepperoni, ham, pineapple, mushrooms etc )

Grate the cheese of your choice (if you haven't got mozzarella use any other cheese you have available) on the top and place in the oven 220º C / 425ºF for 12 - 14 minutes.
