Florentines

Method

50 g. Butter
50 g. Syrup (Golden)
50 g. Sugar (Castor)
50 g. Plain Flour
125 g. Mixed Nuts
100 g. Chocolate (Dark)

Preheat the oven to 160 ºC / 315ºF

Mix all the ingredients together and place a spoonful of mixture onto a baking sheet 3 “ apart or into a cup cake tin lined with cake cases or greased silicone cake moulds.

Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.

Melt 100g Plain (milk or White) chocolate and paint the base of the florentine and use a fork to make a squiggle design on the bottom.

Store in an airtight container.
