North American, Main Course Gluten Free Lactose Free Nut Free, Minced Beef

Beef Chilli

Serves 4

Ingredients

Method

100 g Beans (Red Kidney Beans, Jar or Tin)
350 g Minced Beef
1 Onion
½  Small Green Pepper 
1 Tomatoes (Tinned, Chopped)
2 tsp Water
½ tsp - 1 tsp. Chilli Powder
½ tsp Cumin Seeds
¼ tsp Salt and Pepper (to your taste)
1 tbsp Olive Oil

Prepare and chop the onions and Green Pepper.

In a medium sized pan heat the oil and fry the minced beef until evenly browned.

Add the onions and the pepper and cook for 5 minutes.

Stir in the tomatoes, water, chilli powder, cumin salt and pepper to taste.

Bring to the boil, stirring , then add the beans.

Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.

Serve hot with rice and a green salad.
