Flapjacks

Method

125 g Butter
125 g Sugar (Soft Light Brown)
75 g Syrup (Golden)
250 g Oats

Preheat the oven to 180ºC / 350ºF.

In a medium pan, melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup.

When melted, add the rolled oats and stir to mix thoroughly.

Turn into a greased shallow 20cm square baking pan , and even the top with a palette knife.

Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Cool in the tin for a few minutes then transfer onto a wire rack to cool completely. Makes 16.
