Indian / Pakistani, Main Course Vegetarian Gluten Free Nut Free

Plain Boiled /Steamed Rice

Method

250 g. Basmati Rice
½ tsp. Salt to Taste
570 ml. Water
1 tsp. Butter (Unsalted)

Wash rice thoroughly until water runs clear.

Place the rice in a saucepan and add water.

Leave to soak for at least 30 minutes.

Add salt and bring to the boil, turn the heat very low and cover.

Cook for 20 minutes, or until the rice is fluffy.

To serve add a teaspoon of butter on the top and allow to melt in.
