Classic French, Dessert Vegetarian Nut Free, Prunes (Dried No Soak )

Far (Warm Prune Tart)

350 g. Prunes (Dried No Soak )
500 ml. Milk (Full Fat)
3 Eggs
130 g. Sugar (Castor)
75 g. Plain Flour

If you have used no soak prunes you can ignore this step but if you were unable to get no soak prunes then soak the prunes in warm water for 2.15 hours.

Preheat the oven to 400ºF / 200ºC

In a small saucepan, heat the milk gently. In a mixing bowl mix the eggs and sugar together until they are pale in colour. whisk in the flour and when incorporated add the milk.

Butter a tart dish and place the prunes over the base. If you have soaked your prunes drain them before doing this step.

Cover the prunes with the batter mixture and place in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and cook through. Allow the tart to cool slightly and serve.
